Dont Panic

Swelling, numbness, oozing of blood is normal and you need not be alarmed. Apply light pressure with gauze or handkerchief for two minutes to stop.  It may take few days to few weeks to subside and recover fully.

You might notice areas that look like pimples or bumps a few weeks post-surgery. Please do not pick or squeeze them.  Apply a moist warm compress 3-4 times everyday for at least 5 days to help the hair push through the skin surface.  It may take up to 2 weeks for this to clear up.  We see this phenomenon happening in less than 0.1% of our cases.

Scabs will form on your scalp and will fall off naturally over the next few days. You may notice tiny hair stubble in the scabs. While your grafts are intact, there will be the original hair that were transplanted will shed for the first 3 weeks.  After 3 weeks you can gently comb through this region without rubbing against the skin of the scalp. You can resume your normal hair care routine 3 weeks post-surgery or once all your scabs are gone.
